Job Title:
Full Time Technician
Job Objective or Overall Purpose Statement:
Our Full Time Technician is an employee position, not an independent contractor position. The employee is assigned a company vehicle and all required tools and equipment to strip, clean, sand, paint, stain and restore Decks, Fences, Gazebos, Play Systems, Porches, Docks, Cedar and Log Siding, Cedar Shake Roofs, and Asphalt roofs. Technician also cleans concrete, exterior siding on homes and buildings, removes ice dams and snow from roofs and installs and takes down holiday lighting. Other cleaning and restoring tasks are also available.
List of Duties or Tasks Performed:
Technician drives a company provided vehicle to customer locations. Technician keeps the company provided vehicle at his/her residence. Technician must have adequate garage or storage space to store additional equipment that may not be needed on a daily basis. Technician uses a power washer, airless sprayer and stripping and cleaning agents to strip, clean and remove dirt, algae, moss, sealers, coatings, etc. from the exterior structures listed above. Drum, rotary and reciprocal sanders are used to remove solid stains and paints. Using pads, brushes and airless sprayers; seal, stain and paint the exterior structures listed above. During the winter months a hot water power washer is used to remove ice dams and snow from roofs. Holiday Lighting is installed before the holidays and is removed after the holidays. The assigned van carries all of the equipment listed above along with ladders and other equipment to perform required tasks. Employee is also responsible for invoicing the customer and providing the customer with required paperwork. All communication including job schedules and timecards are done using a computer with internet and email access. The computer, printer and internet/email access are not provided by the company. Computer and printer must be located at the residence of the employee. A non company provided cellular phone is also required for employment. Employment requires a valid driver’s license and good driving record as reported by our insurance company. In most cases the employee is working by himself/herself.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record as reported by our insurance company. Must be able to load and unload a pressure washer from the van. Employee must be able to roll pressure washer to the work site which may include obstacles such as hills, snow or other obstacles. Employee must be able to load, unload, carry and set up a 32 foot aluminum ladder. Employee must respect but not fear heights. Employee must be able to write and communicate clearly and legibly. Employee must have good customer contact skills and keep himself/herself well groomed. Computer, printer and cell phone are required. Employee must have a garage or storage space to safely store additional equipment.
Job Location:
Employee bases from home and in most cases drives directly to and from the job site to their home.
Equipment to be used in the performance of the job:
Company provided vehicle, GPS navigation, power washer, airless sprayer, sanders, strippers, chemicals, ladders, paint brushes, pads, and other hand and power tools. Company also provides rain gear, rubber boots, vinyl gloves, rubber gloves, shirt and hat. Employee provides computer, printer, internet, email and cell phone.

Quote Person
Job Objective or Overall Purpose Statement:
Our Quote Person is an employee position, not an independent contractor position. The employee drives a company provided vehicle to customer locations. The Quote Person photographs, inspects and measures Decks, Fences, Gazebos, Play Systems, Porches, Docks, Cedar and Log Siding, Cedar Shake Roofs, and Asphalt roofs. The Quote Person also photographs, inspects and measures concrete and exterior siding of homes and buildings. Other structures are also photographed, inspected and measured.
List of Duties or Tasks Performed:
The Quote Person is provided a list of customers’ that have requested on-site quotes. The list is either emailed to the Quote Person or is picked up at the office. In the event the quotes are to be emailed, the Quote Person must have their own computer, printer and internet/email access. This list is provided in sequential order so to reduce drive time and fuel expense. The Quote Person drives a company provided vehicle outfitted with GPS navigation to each of the customers’ locations. The Quote Person photographs, inspects and measures Decks, Fences, Gazebos, Play Systems, Porches, Docks, Cedar and Log Siding, Cedar Shake Roofs, and Asphalt roofs. The Quote Person also photographs, inspects and measures concrete and exterior siding on homes and buildings. Other structures are also photographed, inspected and measured. The Quote Person is an information gatherer, not a salesperson. The Quote Person does not actually calculate pricing nor does he/she provide the quote to the customer. The information that is gathered is brought back to the office and input into the Roof-to-Deck software which calculates the pricing. The Quote Person is also required to perform other Roof-to-Deck functions including sealing and staining Decks, Fences, Gazebos, Play Systems, Porches, Docks, and Cedar and Log Siding. Valid driver’s license and good driving record as reported by our insurance company. The Quote Person must be able to carry two 5 gallon pails of stain at the same time. Employee must be able to carry and set up a collapsible aluminum ladder. Employee must respect but not fear heights. Employee must confidently ascend and descend a ladder to test the condition of shakes. The collapsible ladder will also be used to inspect decks that are above the ground but do not have stair access. As a rule, the Quote Person does not enter peoples’ homes. Employee must be able to write and communicate clearly and legibly. Employee must have very good customer contact skills. Employee must be able to learn and communicate Roof-to-Deck information to the customer. Quote person must keep himself/herself well groomed and dressed professionally. If the quote person is to base from home, computer and printer are required. Cell phone is required for employment.

Quote Person may be based at home or may be required to base from the office.
Equipment to be used in the performance of the job:
Company provided vehicle, GPS navigation, digital camera, measuring wheel, collapsible ladder and clip board. Company also provides Roof-to-Deck gold shirt and hat. Employee provides Docker style shorts, belt, nice shoes and a cell phone. If the employee bases from home, employee must have a computer, printer, internet and email at their residence.

Part Time Administration Assistant
Job Objective or Overall Purpose Statement:
Our administrative assistant performs all office related functions which includes answering phones, answering customer questions, data entry, Quickbooks entry, job scheduling, entering customer information into the RTD software, etc. The administrative assistant also makes phone calls to our customer’s to request information and to keep them informed of their project.
List of Duties or Tasks Performed:
The number of daily and weekly tasks that must be completed by our Administrative staff are between 40 and 50 and may increase or decrease depending on the time of year. These tasks are assigned to an individual or individuals depending on the size of the office. Instructions on how to perform each task is found on the Daily or Weekly Activities list. The activities list indicates the page number in the Operations Manual where the instructions can be found. In addition, the activities list also indicates where the instructions can be found on DVD.

An Administrative Assistant must be able to keyboard 60 words per minute. Administrative Assistant must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Admin person must be able to handle multiple phone calls at the same time.

Job Title:
Part Time Technician
Job Objective or Overall Purpose Statement:
The Part Time Technician is an employee position, not an independent contractor position. The Part Time Technician is provided access to all required tools and equipment to sand, paint, stain and restore Decks, Fences, Gazebos, Play Systems, Porches, Docks, and Cedar and Log Siding. Part Time Technician may also remove ice dams and snow from roofs and install and take down holiday lighting. Other restoration tasks may also be available.
List of Duties or Tasks Performed:
The Part Time Technician may use drum rotary and reciprocal sanders to remove solid stains and paints. Using pads, brushes and airless sprayers; seal, stain and paint the exterior structures listed above. During the winter months a hot water power washer is used to remove ice dams and snow from roofs. Holiday Lighting is installed before the holidays and is removed after the holidays. A non company provided cellular phone is also required for employment. In most cases the employee is working with a full time technician.

Job Objective or Overall Purpose Statement:
To manage the day to day operations of a Roof-to-Deck office
List of Duties or Tasks Performed:
Operations – Day to day business functions. The flow of each function of the day is critical in performance and functionality.
Marketing – Choosing where to advertise, what demographics, taking a customer perspective, out thinking competition
Finance – Tracking daily sales figures and maintaining constant flow of revenue during the month. Tracking inflows and outflows. Tracking employee performance through General Manager reports.
Purchasing – Keeping current on all inventory and the ability to stock what is needed and to not keep a lot of inventory to cut costs. Spend when needed.
Employee relations – Maintain a positive work environment throughout the organization from the office to the production crews in the field. Addressing employee questions in a timely and professional manner. Creating crews that produce and work together vs. clash.
Pricing – Maintain a constant price structure for the services provided. Also the ability to allow pricing to fluctuate depending on employee abilities and the current market.
Technical issues – Addressing technical issues when they arise. Maintain a working network free of bugs at all times.
Training – In charge of providing training and on going training to new/existing employees. Making sure that all new ideas and procedures are put in place in a timely manner.

Processes payroll on a biweekly basis. Reviews and records employee paperwork. Enters bills and credit card receipts. Pays payroll liabilities and bills. Reconciles and balances accounts. Processes franchise fees. Files sales & use tax reports. Processes quarterly and annual payroll reports, OSHA forms and 1099s. Maintains up-to-date process instructions for all duties assigned. Various other tasks as assigned by the Treasurer.
